Alex joined Unity in 2021 as a New Business Account Handler. He has a wealth of knowledge and great understanding of insurance products covering personal lines to commercial companies. He works with a personable approach under a high level of customer service and competency for his clients. Unity has given Alex the opportunity to grow as an individual pursuing his insurance career while building relationships with colleagues, clients and the charity sector. Alex has been personally involved with CIC's, Charities and not for profit organisations, as well as putting on music events to fund raise for charities in the past.  

Chris joined Unity in 2016 having worked previously with a finance company that specialised in second mortgages. He greatly appreciates the flexibility of home and office working along with getting to socialise with his colleagues. Chris enjoys that each day is different which keeps him constantly engaged and provides continuous development. He is no stranger to raising money for charity having previously fundraised for Saint Barnabas Hospice by walking 100km in an ultra-challenge and managed to raise over £6,500. Chris is a keen runner and enjoys socializing, gaming, eating out and trying new places.

David joined Unity in February 2022 as a Senior Account Handler and has since been promoted to Deputy Renewals Manager. He joined Unity with over 35 years’ experience in insurance and having managed an overseas MGA, covering various lines of insurance such as Accident and Health, Liability and Motor classes. He likes the flexibility Unity offers and the trust to work independently. When not at work David can be found on the golf course or watching a variety of sports.

Emma joined Unity in 2023 having previously worked compliance at a wealth Management Company. She enjoys the office culture and that her role gives her a variety of opportunities in interact with her colleagues. She excels in ensuring an excellent customer journey and that every client is treated fairly. Emma loves music and when not at work will go see live music or brave the British weather to attend festivals.

Fiona joined Unity 2019 as the New Business Team Leader and has since been promoted to the Renewal Manager. Fiona has dedicated her whole career to insurance and has built a remarkable wealth of knowledge. She enjoys the vibrant office and the ability to be an individual as well as part of the team. She strives in helping everyone develop and grow. One of her core beliefs is delivering excellent customer service to ensure all customers are protected. Fiona has been a member of The Scout Association since her late teens and is currently a Cub leader to date. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs, painting and spending time with her friends and family.

Garry joined Unity in 2022 with over 30 years Insurance Broking experience.  In the past few years Garry has been developing and expanding SME teams and niche schemes, also introducing new operating systems to improve efficiency and process within a regulated environment.  In his spare time he is an avid Chelsea and Harlequins fan, and also is part of the Youth Coaching set up at Brighton RFC in addition to his role as Vice President.  He is married with four children and enjoys family time which keeps him busy when he is not in work.

Jayne Ebrickt joined Unity in 2020 as a Finance Assistant having previously worked in the Scout Stores as Credit Control. Jayne is a huge part of the team, she enjoys working with all departments at Unity and providing support to her colleagues. Outside of work she enjoys beach and river walks, spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She has previously tried paddle boarding and rock climbing, she is not afraid of a new challenge.

Jodie joined Unity in 2021 as a Senior Account Handler and has progressed to Product Manager. She’s worked in insurance for over 20 years. The unique environment of Unity allows Jodie to thrive and she loves how the profits of the business are donated back to the Scouts. As every day is different, Jodie is consistently overcoming hurdles with her excellent knowledge and positive energy. In her spare time, she is dedicated to her family and raising her two children, especially their holidays and watching the children play football. 

Judy joined Unity in 2022 having previously had various roles in London and the Sussex Police. She likes the relaxed atmosphere, lovely offices that you can be yourself at work and the work-life benefits Unity provides. She thrives in her role as she gets to work with a variety of colleagues and excels in facilitating the coordination of the office. Animal charities are near and dear to Judy’s heart and when not working she regularly enjoys travelling, Yoga, swimming and reading.

Karen joined Unity in 1988 and has had a variety of roles starting as an Office Junior, Senior Account Handler and Service Team Leader. She is fond of her colleagues and the support they provide. She loves that Unity give all of their profits back to the Scouts which helps the youth of today make an impact on their lives and others on a daily basis. She gets great satisfaction from helping others and working through difficult situations to make it easier for others. Outside of work Karen is a Dementia Friend and also supports the Alzheimer's Society and Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital. She also likes to spend time reading, watching movies, crafting and spending time with her friends and family.

Kylie joined Unity in 2022 as a New Business Account Handler. She has a wealth of knowledge stemming from her experience in account management. Kylie loves the culture here at Unity as it has allowed her to flourish and grow. She has been involved in numerous projects abroad, such as Kenya and Mongolia and enjoys spending time with her family, horse riding and long walks.  

Lynsey joined Unity in 2020 as an Account Handler having previous experience within Critical Illness claims.  Alongside her role, she is also one of the Mental Health First Aiders for her colleagues across Unity and the Scouts. She likes that she is respected as an individual and is able to express her ideas knowing that she will be heard. It is all about the people for Lynsey, customer and colleagues alike. Her family is her world and she enjoys listening to loud music. 

Matthew joined Unity in 2023 as an Account Executive having previously worked as a Commercial Insurance Broker. Matthew has a wealth of knowledge in insurance industry with over 15 years’ experience. He enjoys working with the diversity of clients we have here at Unity and takes pride in advising and educating them on their insurance needs. Matthew supports The Trevor Mann Unit Brighton as this charity is near and dear to his heart. Outside of work, he likes to spend time with his children, playing pool and socialising with his friends.

Phil joined Unity in 2014 as Sales Manager and later Head of Operations. He has a vast knowledge stemming from his previous experience as an Account Executive for brokers and managing a bank. He thrives while working with his fantastic team and working with excellent customers and partners to create a very fun working environment. He strongly believed the values we work towards makes for a very open and engaging team allowing everyone to grow. In his own words, “Each day is different, working with charities means we are always working with people who are achieving amazing things”. He’s the self-described “Mr Unity” as he has worked in every role in the business and provides continuous support to all his colleagues. Outside of work he is a trustee for a local youth group, enjoys the occasional ski trip, and making memories out and about with his young family.

Prashan joined Unity 2022 with previous insurance experience overseas. He likes the great working environment, culture and people in the office. He has a wealth of knowledge stemming from the insurance qualifications he has earned with a particular focus on underwriting, renewals and delivering excellent customer service. A personal goal of Prashan’s is to provide support to struggling people in Sri Lanka. Outside of work, he follows a variety of international sports and travelling.

Tony joined Unity in 2019 having previously worked in Private Medical Insurance, Group Risk and Employee Benefits administration. He thrives in the friendly enthusiasm at Unity and is consistently helping his colleagues. He takes great pride in helping smaller charities understand the importance of having the correct insurance and what that cover involves. His admiration of charity extends outside of work to volunteering his time with a local scout group to help with events.
